Dolly Parton's sister defended the singer after facing a backlash for wearing a Dallas Cowboy cheerleader outfit.

Before the Dallas Cowboys' Thanksgiving Day game against the Washington Commanders, Parton shocked the crowd at Dallas' AT&T Stadium when she held her halftime show in her Dallas cheerleader costume.

While some applauded her ageless look, some slammed her for wearing a "revealing" outfit despite her age.

Dolly Parton's Sister Defends Singer

On Twitter, Stella Parton lambasted the haters and critics for saying that Dolly was too old to wear the outfit.

"I personally thought my big sister Dolly was cute as hell in her Dallas Cowboys cheerleading costume at the half time show on Thanksgiving," she said. "To those of you being so critical of a 77-year-old kicking up her heels, I say f--- yourself. Shame on you not her."

Ex-golfer Paige Spiranac also stood by Dolly and expressed her love for the country singer amid the flak.

"Dolly Parton is 77 and wearing whatever the hell she wants. I love her," the athlete said.

Fans also responded to the haters online and said the "Islands in the Stream" singer can wear whatever she wants.

What Happened During the Halftime Show

The 77-year-old crooner left everyone impressed by her toned physique when she appeared on stage in the jaw-dropping costume.

One said, "We need to enact legislation that Dolly Parton is the only 77 year old woman allowed to wear a Cowboys' cheerleader outfit. I don't want this to start a fashion trend..."

"Dolly Parton is 77-years old and is currently absolutely knocking out a blow out half time show in a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader costume. We must protect her with all of sour national security apparatus," another wrote.

It was the first time she headlined the show after previously revealing that she was offered to perform at the Super Bowl halftime show several times.

Despite the huge opportunity, Parton said she could not do it.

"I couldn't do it because of other things, or I just didn't think I was big enough to do it - to do that big of a production," she said. "When you think about those shows, those are big, big productions. I've never done anything with that big of a production. I don't know if I could have. I think at the time that's what I was thinking."
