Taylor Swift and Brittany Mahomes' friendship has been plagued with drama.
Swifties have been divided over Swift and Mahomes' public appearances together, especially since her brother-in-law and Patrick Mahomes' brother, Jackson Mahomes, is a subject of a sexual battery trial. But their friendship is said to be taking time off as the "Lavender Haze" singer allegedly distances herself from her new BFF.
What Happened to Taylor Swift and Brittany Mahomes?
The Mirror reported the ongoing drama between Swift and Mahomes, saying the latter released information about her hangouts with the singer.
This seems to have been proven when a man named Jake called 98.5 The Sports Hub's Zolak & Bertrand radio show and revealed he had a tip about Swift attending the Kansas City Chiefs' game against the New England Patriots at the Gillette Stadium in Massachusetts on Sunday, December 17.
"Let's break some news. She's coming Sunday. Done deal," the caller claimed, adding that he found out about the status of Swift and Mahomes' friendship. "One of the sources I have is saying she doesn't want to be with Brittany Mahomes. I don't know why."
Celebrity gossip page Deuxmoi also shared the news on Instagram Story to confirm Swift "is distancing herself."
This reportedly put Travis Kelce in an awkward position, as he is teammates with Patrick Mahomes. Still, this should be taken with a grain of salt as their representatives have yet to address the rumor.

Swifties Do Not Approve of the Friendship
Swifties have long expressed their disapproval of Swift and Mahomes' friendship. Things got worse when eagle-eyed fans found Mahomes' past tweets about the "champagne problems" singer.
One fan shared a screenshot of the aforesaid tweets, which read: "Taylor swift winning everything <<<<" and "Taylor swift..I wanna know when your gonna find something different to write about besides boys and relationships."
The user wrote, "you know what would be a lot more meaningful than brittany mahomes deleting her taylor hate tweets? brittany making a public apology to jackson's SA victim for trying to silence her, taylor donating money to the victim who lost her business over reporting him."
"brittany mahomes being misogynistic and hating taylor before this whole PR stunt is sooooooo not shocking considering she is definitely just a social climber . that's all i'm gonna say about that, taylor- choose better friends," another added.
