In a move to reaffirm his California roots, Kanye West has recently been involved in two separate property deals.

The star reportedly spent an eye-watering amount of $6.7 million on the Yeezy headquarters and an additional $1.5 million on an old church building.

While he was traveling with his wife, Bianca Censori, from Australia, the transactions flew under the radar for quite some time.

Kanye's New HQ

When the year began, Kanye West became interested in a sprawling 7,416-square-foot commercial building on Melrose Avenue in West Hollywood.

Allegedly, the star intended for it to be utilized as a hub for his fashion and music-related ventures. Unfortunately, however, this dream never came to fruition - Ye has yet to use the property while he's been preoccupied with recording his upcoming album from Saudi Arabia.

It is now revealed that the 46-year-old rapper acquired a warehouse in March and intends to maintain possession of it. Records show that the transaction was carried out through Oxpaha LLC, an entity set up in Delaware in the same month, according to The Sun.

For the LLC, located in Wilmington, Bianca is registered as a point of contact.

This same address is also where corporate giant CSC has its headquarters with customers like Apple, Amazon, and Starbucks. Before this role for the LLC, Bianca was appointed extraordinary power of attorney for another property transaction.

In October, Kanye founded Ox Paha Inc. and trademarked "Yews" for several categories, including cosmetics and apparel.

This property formerly belonged to a firm connected with Philip Klaparda of Dembo Realty, an elite agency managing high-end business sites across West Hollywood, Beverly Hills, and Santa Monica.

More Controversy

Kanye West has been quite the real estate mogul this year, his latest acquisition coming from a church building in Northridge within LA's San Fernando Valley.

Despite strong resistance from locals, Kanye secured the property that initially belonged to Cornerstone Christian Church.

Reports indicate his plan to establish Donda's Academy, an ill-fated Christian school which, unfortunately, has been met with two lawsuits by ex-staff due to its alleged odd practices.

Reports of Kanye West's unorthodox behavior while running Donda Academy have been circulating, with former teachers alleging he prohibited classes from taking place on the second floor due to his fear of stairs and provided only sushi for lunch.

However, lawyer Gregory Suhr denies such accusations and insists that these portrayals of the institution as an oppressive regime are far from reality.

In a remarkable show of unity, 12,000 people have voiced their disapproval, signing a petition to prevent Pastor Ron Nagin from agreeing with the "All of the Lights" hitmaker. The rap star has shown interest in leasing space at the Church after attending services there.

Despite claims from an anonymous source in the Church that it would never do business with Kanye due to his anti-semitic remarks, it was revealed that the property had already been sold on 30 January 2023. The land was located just yards away from the central Church and had been purchased by The Blue Spruce Trust, of which Kanye is the trustee.

The insider stated firmly: "No, not now, we haven't heard from him. People were very unhappy about this idea due to the anti-Semitism."

Faithful America, the largest online organization of Christian activists dedicated to social justice, recently initiated a petition.

Subsequently, despite having been purchased, the school is thought to remain stationed at its previous San Fernando location.
