Ariana Grande's career has completely exploded this past year and with that has come a lot of negative press about her alleged diva antics. However, this morning, Grande herself dropped a string of messages on Instagram to a young fan that is currently not very accepting of herself. She reminds the young girl named Maya that learning to love yourself can be almost a full time job because so many people in this world work hard to knock others' down.

In her Instagram post Ariana also spoke out to her other loyal fans, saying in part,

'please be good to u. life is a gift and there is no need to waste it hating on the things we can't control. as hard as that can be. try to focus more on improving the things we actually can control / change.... our outlook, our state of mind, our ego, the way we treat others, the way we treat ourselves, showing more appreciation, not giving into our fears, the way we react to obstacles, etc'

We think it's great when a celeb steps outside of themselves to connect on a real level with their fans. This instance shows that Grande really does feel what her fans are saying and she also realizes that she is in a position to help or at least encourage them. Sometimes all it takes to get a bit stronger is to hear the right kind of words of support from someone that you look up to. Apparently, not only does the singer herself get this but she is smart enough to realize that many other fans are knee deep in the same kind of struggle.

What do you think of stars like Ariana Grande using their position as a public figure to try and guide and support others? Should they try for a position as a role model and then reach back towards fans that need a little extra encouragement? Tell us your thoughts in the comments below!
