  • Imagine Dragons' New Album 'Smoke + Mirrors' Debuts at No. 1 in UK Above Drake, Ed Sheeran & Sam Smith

"Shots" all around for Imagine Dragons. Following the massive success of its debut album Night Visions, it seems like the Las Vegas rockers are prepping for another massive record. Its latest effort Smoke + Mirrors debuted at No. 1 in the United Kingdom, besting releases from the likes of Drake, Sam Smith, Ed Sheeran and Taylor Swift.
  • Mark Ronson & Bruno Mars "Uptown Funk", Meghan Trainor 'Title' Top U.K. Charts Beating Out Hozier, Ed Sheeran & Rihanna

The charts in the U.K. are looking quite a bit like the ones here in the United States. As Meghan Trainor's debut album Title and Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars' throwback hit "Uptown Funk" crown the Billboard charts, the major pop players are also owning things across the pond.
  • Disclosure and Rudimental Announces 2-Day Wildlife Festival Featuring Sam Smith, Wu-Tang Clan, George Ezra and more

Disclosure (real names Guy and Howard Lawrence) has been quiet of late, but their meteoric rise over the past two years has been remarkable, coinciding with pop's convergence with deep house in the UK and to a degree in the United States. With the added spotlight, fame and resources, the "You & Me" producers have the ability expand their live event brand WILD LIFE to something greater then what it has been in the past — a one off show that features either just Disclosure or Guy and Howard and a few friends. They have announced a brand new WILD LIFE Festival this summer with the help of their friends UK soulful drum n bass group Rudimental. "Latch" singer Sam Smith, Wu-Tang Clan and George Ezra, will headline the festival.
  • Ed Sheeran and Sam Smith Lead 2014 UK Album Sales Chart Featuring Nothing But British Artists for First Time Ever

If you peruse Billboard's websites for the album charts from other countries you'll notice that very often foreign talent infiltrates the top spots. The Uk can proudly declare that during 2014, every single performer in its Top 10 for album sales was homegrown for the first time. Ed Sheeran and Sam Smith were among the bestselling musicians of the year in the UK.
  • The Script's New Album 'No Sound Without Silence' Beats Barbra Streisand, Chris Brown on UK Album Chart

Barbra Streisand may be a musical legend, on pace to debut at No. 1 in the U.S. with her new album Partners, but she's seemingly no match for rock band The Script. Following the release and overseas success of its single "Superheroes," The Script's new album No Sound Without Silence has debuted at No. 1 in the U.K.
  • Sam Smith 'In The Lonely Hour', Robert Plant 'Lullaby and the Ceaseless Roar' Top UK Album Chart

Robert Plant ripped into the UK Album Charts this week, but the former Led Zeppelin frontman's latest solo album couldn't keep England away from In The Lonely Hour. For the fourth non-consecutive week Sam Smith topped the UK's Offical Album Charts, trailed closely by Plant's Lullaby and the Ceaseless Roar.
  • Ed Sheeran 'X' Tops UK Album Chart Again: 'Dont' Singer Beats Out New Releases from Eric Clapton, Tom Petty

It seems as though Ed Sheeran is totally unstoppable in his homeland. For the sixth week in a row, the "Don't" singer is topping the U.K. album charts with his new album x, beating out releases from the popular rockers who came before him, Eric Clapton and Tom Petty.
  • Ed Sheeran 'x' Bests 5 Seconds Of Summer's Debut on UK Album Chart [VIDEOS]

Ed Sheeran can "multiply" his album successes in his homeland by two. After the "Sing" musician's new album x debuted at No. 1 in the UK last week with the fastest-moving numbers to date, he's now notched a second week atop the British album charts.
  • Ariana Grande, Iggy Azalea 'Problem' Lead UK Singles Chart with Streaming, Sales Combination

The No. 1 spot may have eluded Ariana Grande and Iggy Azalea's "Problem" in the United States, but the lead single from the new album My Everything has debuted at the top of the charts in the U.K.
