• Future Music Festival Canceled: Australian Event Headlined by Drake, Avicii, 2 Chainz Says Goodbye

No, this is not some cruel post-April Fool's Day joke -- this is the real thing. Late last night, April 1, or this afternoon, April 2, for our Australian friends, Mushroom Group's largest festival Future Music Festival announced that it was canceling the long-standing dance music event. In a short Facebook post, the festival made the announcement reasoning that continuing the event "simply doesn't make financial sense anymore." The event, headlined by the likes of Drake, Avicii, 2 Chainz and The Prodigy, has called it quits after 10 years.
  • Kendrick Lamar, 'Empire,' Action Bronson and Earl Sweatshirt Help Hip-Hop Dominate Album Sales Chart

The past few weeks have been amazing for hip-hop, as the Empire soundtrack and Kendrick Lamar's To Pimp A Butterfly have led both the Billboard 200 to three straight weeks of rap at no. 1. Although it's only been a two-week streak on the Album Sales chart (Empire was outsold by Madonna's Rebel Heart during its first week), this week is still newsworthy as the Top 3 spots on the chart are all held by hip-hop albums.
  • Roomful of Teeth, Ohio's Constella Festival Team Up for William Brittelle's "High Done No Why To" Music Video

With Ward Swingle gone from the SATB earth and Tim Hauser transferring no more 'cross Manhattan, the timing couldn't be any more right for Roomful of Teeth to become our starriest vocal band. Fresh off one of the most exciting drones at the Met's Temple of Dendur since, well, Interpol's record release party, the GRAMMY Award-winning ensemble (Best Chamber Music/Small Ensemble Performance) with that youngest-ever Pulitzer recipient (Caroline Shaw) on one of the best labels in the new music biz (New Amsterdam) hasn't yet made a music vid proper. Until now, of course.
  • Are 76 Arrests at Ultra Music Festival 2015 a Good or Bad Thing? Depends What Media Outlet You Ask

Depending on where you read your summary of last weekend's Ultra Music Festival, you may have come away with different ideas about whether the Miami electronic music event was a safe success or another round of EDM anarchy. Consider these headlines...the first is from Yahoo! News: "76 arrested at electronic music festival in Miami." Then compare it with that of Dancing Astronaut, a site specializing in electronic coverage: "Only 76 arrests made at Ultra Music Festival; lowest since 2012."
  • Wrongful Death Civil Suit Against Bruce Jenner Being Prepared by Kim Howe's Step-Children for Deadly Car Crash

Bruce Jenner may not be facing any criminal charges in connection with the Feb. 6 deadly car crash that claimed the life of Kim Howe, but as anticipated a wrongful death civil suit is being prepared. What is interesting is that Howe's husband died in 2003 and she leaves behind no blood relatives. It is actually Howe's grown step-children who are reportedly going to file a wrongful death suit in spite of having virtually no relationship with her at all.
  • Rob Kardashian Turned Down 'The Biggest Loser' Offer to Compete, Currently Battling Depression

Rob Kardashian recently raised some eyebrows by likening his sister Kim Kardashian to the psychotic killer in 'Gone Girl,' and it seems the family has been working hard to push him into some sort of treatment. His sister Khloé Kardashian recently confirmed that Rob is depressed, and there have been a lot of rumors about his drug abuse in recent years, too. Rob's biggest problem seems to stem from his weight, and we have heard that even The Biggest Loser reached out to him to make him an offer to join the show next season. But he turned down the offer to compete. Unfortunately, the only Kardashian brother does not seem to want any of the help that has been offered to him.
  • 'Days of Our Lives' Alison Sweeney Snags First Daytime Emmy Nomination, Talks Returning for 50th Anniversary

Alison Sweeney spent 22 years portraying the character of Sami Brady on 'Days of Our Lives,' and this week she finally snagged her first Daytime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress. Sweeney announced last year that she would be leaving the soap opera in order to pursue a multitude of other projects, but she remained totally invested in the character and her work until Days sent Brady off to start a new life in Hollywood, conveniently leaving the door open for the actress to return. She also talked about her return for the show's 50th anniversary. Why did this year click for Sweeney and what made her scenes stand out enough to merit an Emmy nod? Even she is not exactly sure.

  • Young Thug Releases 'Check' Music Video from 'Carter 6': Thugger Shows Off Money with Friends in Tour Bus [WATCH]

Louisiana rapper Young Thug, real name Jeffrey Williams, has unveiled the music video for his new song "Check" that will appear on his upcoming album, controversially titled Carter 6. Directed by Thugger and Be El Be, the video takes you inside Young Thug's tour bus that is nearly overflowing with his crew and stacks of 100s. You would think that he got paid for each gig in cash, which is how he was able to create such a video and probably isn't the smartest move if you want to keep your money safe, but alas Williams did not hire us as financial advisors. Having all of those 100s looks pretty baller.
