• Kendrick Lamar First Performer with Two Weeks Atop Billboard 200 Since Taylor Swift; First R&B/Hip-Hop Artist Since Beyonce

    Kendrick Lamar and To Pimp A Butterfly pulled off something that few performers outside of Taylor Swift have managed to wrangle in the last few months: holding the no. 1 position on the Billboard 200 for more than one week. The album spent a second week at the top spot on the chart-the only performer aside from Swift (who spent a total of 11 weeks at no. 1 with 1989) to have done so since November, having sold 123,000 equivalent units during its second full week of sales. The accomplishment is even more relevant for the R&B/Hip-Hop genres, where Butterfly becomes the first album since 2013's Beyoncé to spend multiple weeks at no. 1.

The track was put together as a part of Adidas's Songs from Scratch series, joining other collaborations between hot rising stars like Chet Faker and Goldlink, Joey Bada$$ and Chuck Strangers, Jacques Greene and Tinashe, Jeremih and Shlohmo and others.

UBA claimed that featuring a noted Crips affiliate as a musical guest unfairly painted over the relationship of the Reds and the notorious Los Angeles gang, as well as Bloods' contributions to the history of gang warfare as a whole.

She has denied having an eating disorder, blaming her cancer medication for making her look too thin.

Drew, on the other hand, is best known for his indie music collective Broken Social Scene as well his two solo LP's Spirit If... (2007) and Darlings (2014). The two continually bumped into each other over the years and eventually formed a friendship. From there they decided to make music together. The result, It's Decided, which dropped in February on Drew's label, Arts & Crafts, was a labor of love for the two musicians and marked a new chapter in Kim's story. The album explores the journey of a man who has seen both the ups and the downs in life, but is ultimately at peace with it.

    The Chainsmokers have unveiled the music video for their latest single "Let You Go" featuring Brooklyn indie band Great Good Fine Ok. The "Kanye" producers teased the topic of the video back when the track was released, but now the full visuals have been unveiled and the quirky personality are on full display from duo Alex Pall and Drew Taggart. The video documents a crazy day and night out on the town in Los Angeles with some unknown female protagonist who at the end of the day probably is the one calling the shots in this relationship. After having some sex in a hobbit-like bookstore while Drew reads in the next row seemingly oblivious, Taggart is dragged into the situation, which becomes a steamy and physical love triangle that ends up being awkward between them.
