  • If Kim Kardashian Wants to Hang On to Kanye West, She Needs to Distance Herself from Her Family

It is obvious that Kanye West fully expects to be the boss in his marriage to Kim Kardashian. It is almost like he purposely keeps her working so she does not have much free time to even contemplate doing anything he would not approve of. That is not an accident, either. West likes to float around Paris without a care in the world, but you better believe he needs to know exactly where his wife is at all times. When West decides to spend quality time together, he also expects Kardashian to drop everything for him, and that is starting to cause some conflict between the couple. She may be willing to let go of some friendships, but Kim Kardashian's sisters are still a priority and it is beginning to tick her husband off.Last weekend, Kourtney Kardashian delivered her third child and Kim was totally on board to help with her sister's little ones. In fact, she posted a play date photo on Instagram of Kourtney's kids and little North West heading to Disney on Ice.Helping out family is perfectly normal, but not in West's world. • Sony Email Leak: Snapchat Reportedly Wanted to Start a Record Label

The Sony hack has been devastating for one of the biggest media conglomerates in the world and all its affiliated artists and companies. The latest leak details plans by Snapchat to start its own label as a joint venture with Sony. A leaked email from Snapchat CEO Michael Lynton reveals the company's plans to start a music platform of its own because "every music service in the market is s--t."View the full email from Lynton below, via "Billboard":"Michael,"I was only able to see Evan for about 30 minutes yesterday but that was enough time for him to express his thoughts and leave us with some things to think about if there is going to a music play within Snapchat. He didn't end up showing some of the developments in the platform that may benefit music but referenced them in the discussion. First, he thinks every music service in the market is s--t and he wants to be a curator. He doesn't want to build a music service but he would like to have a record label so he could focus on the artists that he wants to use the platform to promote. He also wants to participate in the upside that he will create by promoting them on the platform. He later backed off a bit from being a record label to maybe testing the concept first. Obviously he doesn't understand some of the important nuances around the business about what rights a record label does and does not have."I appreciate the introduction. I am going to go back to my team with some of these concepts and see if we can get creative in how we could get something to work here that is in the direction of Evan's vision and get him more exposed to what we can bring to Snapchat. We have a lot of ideas of our own but I don't think Evan will engage in our ideas until we try to move something forward that he wants to accomplish."Please let me know if you want to disc [sic]"
  • After 5 Years in Captivity, Cuba Has Released American Contractor Alan Gross in a Prisoner Swap

Just a few short weeks after learning that the United States launched a failed attempt to rescue one of our hostages, Luke Somers, who was being held in Yemen, we are now hearing of another hostage who has been released. Alan Gross, 65, was working as a U.S. contractor in Cuba in 2009 when he was arrested for bringing telecommunications devices into the country. He was later convicted and sentenced to 15 years in prison, but as of this morning, Dec. 17, Gross is on a plane bound for Washington, D.C.According to ABC News, Gross has been in poor health for some time and has refused medical care. Gross is said to now be blind in one eye, suffering from arthritis in one hip and nearly toothless. He was also staging a hunger strike, which he promised would ultimately lead to his death if he was not released this year. In exchange for Gross, the U.S. has agreed to hand over three Cuban agents who were convicted of espionage back in the 1990s. Sources say all three have been housed at a federal medical facility in North Carolina.
