Representatives from Sankeys reported that the franchisees in New York were totally ill-prepared to run such an establishment but a new statement from those aforementioned organizers report that a club will in fact operate at the location under the new title OPEN.

    Singer-songwriter Jimmy LaFave and Dallas entrepreneur Kelcy Warren opened their Music Road Records label in 2007, releasing the Woody Guthrie tribute album 'Ribbon of Highway Endless Skyway' the following year. The partnership led to a slew of other releases featuring original material but Warren had an itch to scratch. The co-founder's extreme fandom for one of the most prolific songwriters around sparked what would become the pair's second tribute effort: 'Looking Into You: A Tribute to Jackson Browne,' which came out in January. Artists like Bruce Springsteen, Bonnie Raitt and Don Henley came running.

  • Australian Cricketer Phil Hughes Dies After Being Hit In the Head in Freak Accident

    t's a sad day in the sports world as it has been confirmed that 25-year old Phil Hughes, an Australian Cricketer has succumbed to a head injury that occurred during a match two days ago. Hughes was fatally injured when hit by a "bouncer," a short ball that bounces up towards the batsman's torso, near his left ear. The ball somehow managed to hit Hughes at the top of his neck, in spite of his helmet because he just so happened to swivel at that moment. Hughes suffered a massive bleed to his brain almost instantly and never recovered from a medically induced coma.
