    As previously reported, the Ferguson, Missouri police department identified Darren Wilson as the officer who shot Michael Brown, whose death ignited violent protests and chaos in the St. Louis suburb over the past week. This is one step in the full investigation that will hopefully lead to some answers and peace. In the wake of this tragedy, many rappers and musicians have voiced their condolences for Brown's family, their outrage at the situation, their desire for answers and prayers for peace. Here's what they had to say:

  • Morrissey Still Signed to Harvest Records, Despite Reports from Nearly Everyone (Including Music Times)

    Whoops. Looks like Music Times and a whole bunch of other music media got punked by Morrissey this week. A report on the vocalist's site, True To You, made it seem that Moz had been dropped from Harvest Records, and although the label itself didn't confirm the news, we ran with it anyways. New reports from the company indicate that the former Smiths frontman is still locked into his contract with the company.
  • KCON 2014 Doubles Attendance for Second Year; Features Performances from Girls' Generation and G-Dragon

    This year's KCON festival literally put in 110 percent this year. The 2014 version of the event, which went down last weekend at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, saw exactly a 110 percent increase in attendance from 2013, raising the total to 42,000 K-Pop fans. According to organizers, more than 40 percent of those attendees came from outside of California.
