• Alabama is Back with a Third Gospel Project

    Alabama, who started releasing country albums in 1976 and went on to become one of country music's favorite bands, has a total of 19 country projects and two gospel projects under their belts. On September 30, 2014, the gospel count will rise to three with the release of 'Angels Among Us: Hymns and Gospel Favorites."

    R&B singer Chris Brown has shared the album cover for his upcoming album X (not to be confused with Ed Sheeran's most recent album, x). It features a black and white photograph of a shirtless Brown with a large red "X" painted over him. You can check it out below.
  • Evanescence's Amy Lee Announces Debut Solo Album

    Evanescence singer Amy Lee has announced the release of her debut solo album Aftermath through her Facebook page. Aftermath is the soundtrack to the upcoming film War Story, directed by Mark Jackson and starring Catherine Keener and Sir Ben Kingsley, which she collaborated on with American composer Dave Eggar. The album features two songs performed solely by Lee, seven songs performed with Eggars, and one song performed with Morrocan singer Malika Zarra. The album can be pre-ordered right now on Amazon and iTunes and will be officially released on Aug. 25 through 110 Records.
  • Alleged Juggalos Charged With Attempted Murder, Set Roommate On Fire

    The Baltimore Sun reports that two men who are thought to be Juggalos — fans of Detroit rap duo Insane Clown Posse — have been arrested and charged with the attempted murder of their roommate in Hebron, Maryland. The suspects are 33-year-old Paul Martin Hurst of Hebron and 35-year-old Cary Lee Edwards of Williamsburg, Virginia, who allegedly set 31-year-old Zachary Swanson on fire on Monday after attempting to remove his Insane Clown Posse tattoo. Swanson suffered severe burns and is currently being treated at a Baltimore burn center.

    MAGIC! may be keeping things "Rude" at the very tippy top of the Billboard Hot 100, but two new summer singles launched into the Top 10 this week, shaking up the charts for the first time in a while. As expected, the firey new single from super-trio Jessie J, Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj "Bang Bang" debuted near the top and body positive newcomer Meghan Trainor also made her way into the top of the pop charts with "All About That Bass."

    In the 90s, Grand Ole Opry member Hal Ketchum was a big name in country music. Ten albums, 15 top 10 hits and 5 million record sales was nothing to sneeze at. But after his 2008 release, 'Father Time,' he seemed to disappear. Last year, he turned back up online with an official web site, news of new music and a few shows here and there. Now, it appears that Ketchum is back full force with a new album due out in October
