  • Kickstarter Campaign Aims to Immortalize Alternative Classical Music Scene in 'We Break Strings' Photo Book

An alternative classical music scene is as interesting as it sounds. Underground composers putting on classical gigs in a non-traditional setting is as punk rock as it gets--and coincidentally enough, it's coming from the U.K.
  • Neil Young Dating Daryl Hannah After Divorcing Wife of 36 Years?

  • Calvin Harris Shares "Blame" Video Featuring John Newman, A Bunch Of Attractive Ladies

The world's highest paid DJ (two years running!) Calvin Harris has shared the music video for this latest single "Blame," featuring guest vocalist John Newman, which you can check out below. The video mostly features Harris and Newman brooding while hanging around some scantily clad women (it is a music video, after all), and by the end, the women have somehow found their way into the middle of a rainforest after diving into some unusually deep puddles and bathtubs. It doesn't make perfect sense, but it's beautifully shot, so it's worth a look.

  • CBS Sports and NFL Cancel Rihanna/Jay Z Segment as Desperate Attempt to Make You Forget Ray Rice

Those up to date with music news may have noticed something slightly off about the thursday Night Football game between the Piitsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens: A much-hyped pre-game musical number was not broadcast as promised. CBS had previously announced it would open all of the Thursday night games with a recording of Jay Z and Rihanna singing "Run This Town," a great choice if we say so ourselves (Kanye's verse would not be part of the package). The NFL and network opted to cancel that segment due to the current furor regarding Ray Rice and his domestic abuse video.
