• Evanescence's Amy Lee Announces Debut Solo Album

    Evanescence singer Amy Lee has announced the release of her debut solo album Aftermath through her Facebook page. Aftermath is the soundtrack to the upcoming film War Story, directed by Mark Jackson and starring Catherine Keener and Sir Ben Kingsley, which she collaborated on with American composer Dave Eggar. The album features two songs performed solely by Lee, seven songs performed with Eggars, and one song performed with Morrocan singer Malika Zarra. The album can be pre-ordered right now on Amazon and iTunes and will be officially released on Aug. 25 through 110 Records.
  • Alleged Juggalos Charged With Attempted Murder, Set Roommate On Fire

    The Baltimore Sun reports that two men who are thought to be Juggalos — fans of Detroit rap duo Insane Clown Posse — have been arrested and charged with the attempted murder of their roommate in Hebron, Maryland. The suspects are 33-year-old Paul Martin Hurst of Hebron and 35-year-old Cary Lee Edwards of Williamsburg, Virginia, who allegedly set 31-year-old Zachary Swanson on fire on Monday after attempting to remove his Insane Clown Posse tattoo. Swanson suffered severe burns and is currently being treated at a Baltimore burn center.

As expected, the firey new single from super-trio Jessie J, Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj "Bang Bang" debuted near the top and body positive newcomer Meghan Trainor also made her way into the top of the pop charts with "All About That Bass."

At the country music event (headlined by the likes of Tim McGraw, Keith Urban, Miranda Lambert, Darius Rucker and more), a woman was allegedly assaulted by three men in a parking lot.

    Rolling Stone reports that in anticipation of its upcoming 50th anniversary tour, legendary rockers the Who are reaching out to fans for any recordings of the band over the years that may have never before seen the light of day, including bootleg recordings, fan-shot concert footage, photos, memorabilia, or even forgotten radio and TV performances. The best of these fan-provided items will be included in upcoming anniversary releases. Along with receiving credit for whatever they hand over, each fan will also receive two VIP tickets for the Who's upcoming tour.

    In honor of the 40th anniversary of his tragic death, British folk singer Nick Drake is getting his very first authorized biography, which will be released in November through John Murray Publishers. Titled Nick Drake: Remembered For A While, the book will tell the story of Drake's entire 26-year life through various interviews and essays compiled by his sister, Gabrielle Drake, as well as a number of newly commissioned pieces.
