    Michael Johns, veteran of the seventh season of Fox's American Idol, died Aug. 1 from a blood clot in his ankle that he had recently twisted. The Australian-born singer reportedly passed away in his sleep at the age of 35.

    When David Zach from Remedy Drive spent two weeks in Southeast Asia, it was not for a vacation or standard mission trip. The singer went with a 501c3 called The Exodus Road to help bring children out of sexual slavery. His life, understandably, was changed forever and he and his brother Philip wrote a song called "Commodity" that they hope will change your life.

    Recent Musicians Hall of Fame inductee Velma Smith passed away on July 31 at the age of 87. Smith -- one of country music's great guitarists - was inducted alongside Buddy Guy, Peter Frampton and several others in the January ceremony.
