Fifteen years ago today, the Flaming Lips released its masterpiece The Soft Bulletin in the US, an album which signaled the band's complete shift from acid punks to psychedelic pop geniuses. Though there are many editions of the album with different tracklistings, in total there are thirteen original songs released across each edition. Here's my ranking of the album's thirteen songs, from weakest to best. -

Famed soul and gospel singer Merry Clayton, one of the subjects of the 2013 Oscar-winning documentary 20 Feet From Stardom, was seriously injured in a car accident on June 16th in Los Angeles, according to a statement issued on her website. -

Sting's Broadway-Bound New Musical 'The Last Ship' Opens Chicago Run Next Week
The semi-autobiographical show is set to move to Broadway in the fall. Sting's partially autobiographical new musical The Last Ship, an homage to the shipbuilders of the rocker's childhood home, began previews last week at Chicago's Bank of America Theater in preparation for an official June 25 opening. -
