M.I.A. has announced her departure from Jay Z's Roc Nation label via a post on Twitter saying, "2012 I dlted the M.I.A. #MATANGI LP. HAPPY NEW YEAR | 2014." The rapper signed a management deal with Roc Nation last year while at her main record label Interscope. She started speaking out against Interscope a year ago after Matangi was pushed back for being "too positive." -

The Warner Music Company has offered a settlement for musicians and performers who believe they've been paid using the wrong basis. The company has proposed an $11.5 million sum to be divided among applicable parties. -
French Montana drops new 'Coke Boys 4' mixtape [DOWNLOAD FREE]
French Montana has released his new mixtape Coke Boys 4, part of his Coke Boys mixtape series. The 29-year-old South Bronx rapper brings in Coke Boys members Chinx Drugz, Lil Durk, Cheeze and Flip on the effort, which also features Jadakiss, Wiz Khalifa, Rick Ross, Meek Mill, Snoop Dogg and Diddy, according to Complex. -
Bruce Springsteen to debut 'High Hopes' songs on TV show 'The Good Wife'
Following the accidental release of High Hopes on Amazon, CBS has decided to stream Bruce Springsteen's new LP on their official website. According to Rolling Stone, all of this is part of a promotional tie-in with The Good Wife, which will feature the new tracks "High Hopes," "Hunter of Invisible Game" and "The Ghost of Tom Joad" on its January 12 episode called "We, the Juries." The website will begin streaming the full album at 7 p.m. on January 5 before a preview of the episode is shown. -
Silversun Pickups releasing retrospective 'The Singles Collection,' including new track 'Cannibal' [LISTEN]
The Silversun Pickups may have only released three LP's thus far, but that's no reason for them not to release a retrospective. The album, The Singles Collection, is reportedly celebrating 10 years on the Dangerbird label. The compilation will feature 10 tracks already familiar to fans, such as "Lazy Eye" and "Panic Switch," but as a motive for you to spring for the album, it will also include brand new track "Cannibal" (Have a listen at the bottom of the page...it's fun). -

Aside from wearing masks onstage, the group seems pretty straightforward in its music and behavior...which is why it's confusing that no one will admit to having anything to do with Joey Jordison leaving the band. It was initially reported during December that the group's founding drummer had quit, but Jordison is now saying that he didn't. But he's still not in the group as of now. -

Flute virtuoso Boujemaa Razgui had just flown back to New York from Marrakech, Morocco after the holiday when U.S. customs officials at John F. Kennedy Airport asked to see his bag of flutes. The officials proceeded to remove and smash each one of the 11 handmade flutes, stating that they were agricultural products. -
