Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have repeatedly dealt with baseless and unconfirmed reports about their impending engagement and marriage.

Fans, body language experts and celebrity psychics constantly offered their predictions on Kelce's engagement plans even when he and Swift have yet to celebrate their first anniversary. Amid their very public relationship, experts said the "Lover" singer cannot escape the pressure to get married, especially since she is a superstar.

Taylor Swift Can Feel Pressured To Tie the Knot

Far from what she experienced during her past relationships, Swift now sees Swifties feel more excited to see her get married sooner than later.

Speaking about the current buzz on Swift and Kelce's relationship, Kate Kurtin, a professor of communication studies at California State University told CNN via email that "consumers idealize marriage and want the best for the celebrities. Thus, Swifties have constantly spoken about the "Bejeweled" crooner's potential step with the Kansas City Chiefs tight end.

"The cynic in me is saying that consumers feel an entitlement to know details about celebrities' lives and 'get the scoop' and see all the pictures and marriage is the next demand they are placing on Swift and Kelce," she continued.

Per Kurtin, fans tend to take it hard when celebrities break up, and it shows a one-sided relationship between Swift and Swifties that feels like a friendship even when it is not.

In addition, the professor noted how invested the fans are in their relationship through articles, photos and videos that they feel happy in their new relationship.

Licensed clinical mental health counselor Katherine Sloan explained how Swift can handle the pressure: opening up to family and friends and having good communication with Kelce.
