T-Pain recently linked up with NPR for one of their Tiny Desk Concerts and did an acoustic rendition of three of his greatest hits, including "Buy U A Drank (Shawty Snappin')," "Up Down (Do This All Day)," and "Drankin' Patna." This set the internet on fire as people did not know about T-Pain's actual talents as a rapper and a singer. Undoubtedly because of such a bold move, everyone has an opinion on it and MTV asked T-Pain to read some of the best reactions in the comment section of the video.

Many of the comments do not totally accept what T-Pain is doing by dropping Auto-tune, and you can here him cuss under his breath in response to his detractors.

One person commented, making the comparison to Lady Gaga, saying "His auto-tune voice is more marketable is why. Lady Gaga can sing like a goddess..." T-Pain cut his comment off there questioning quietly, "Can sheeeeeeee?"

T-Pain is considered a pioneer in Auto-tune. Hearing Teddy Penderassdown's, (aka T-Pain's) voice with Auto-tune is like hearing Bob Sheppard announce Yankee player's introductions, most notably Derek Jeter — it is just a given.

However, from the new content we are hearing from T-Pain, he seems to be more willing to try out a natural sound that displays his ability as a singer and a rapper outside of his Auto-tune material.

As he told Vibe, the end of Auto-tune was a hard time for him. He described his downward into depression and alcoholism, I was drinking as much as I could to get away from my problems, crying to myself," he told Vibe. "I've almost lost fingers from punching glass and pictures. I turned into a raging alcoholic."

He recently unveiled his single "Let Me Through" featuring Lil Wayne, from his upcoming album Stoicville: The Phoenix. Get ready for a lot more of a new T-Pain coming soon.
