ID&T gets ready to kick off the third location of its renowned festival, Tomorrowland, in Brazil in just over three months, and to get the fans who sold out the festival in three hours excited, organizers have announced the first phase of artists who will be headed to Sao Paulo. Tomorrowland delivers the kind of lineup you might expect with heavyweight names that we have grown accustomed to seeing on festival lineups like David Guetta, Hardwell, Armin van Buuren and Steve Angello. Tomorrowland continues its commitment to supporting artists from its home country of Belgium with additions of residents Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike and Yves V plus Coone and Netsky.
Taking a cue from Ultra Music Festival and its worldwide expansions, ID&T has gone local with a vast majority of the smaller acts named in the first wave of artists. There will of course be an underground presence felt at the festival as it looks to please all crowds with Sasha, Jamie Jones, Adriatique and others.
David Guetta announced the move to Brazil during his set at Tomorrowland this past year and the excitement for the new South American edition bubbled over into a sellout in just three hours once the tickets went on sale. Further rumors of a move to India have been squashed, but ID&T owner SFX has shown the ambition to push into new markets rapidly. See the full lineup via Tomorrowland and head to their website for more information.
The festival will take place May 1–3.
