Ever wondered what the boys of One Direction need backstage at the massive arenas and stadiums before they play to thousands of fans every night? Well, no need to wonder anymore. What appears to be the official rider for the On The Road Again Tour has leaked online, and the boys of 1D require just a few things: beer, fried chicken, table tennis and only four dressing rooms.
The Smoking Gun obtained One Direction's eight-page tour rider, leaking the details of what one of the world's most lucrative touring acts demands before going on and off stage.
Most of the details of the document are fairly boring. One Direction requires healthy food options before the show, walls with drapery and a "pleasant ambiance" and, like, tons of tissues.
Where the rider gets juicy is in the details. Despite having five members and the ability to list excessive demands, 1D only needs four dressing rooms, which has given some fandom shippers plenty of chatter, because the March 9 rider is dated before Zayn Malik left the tour. (Who's shacking up? Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson?!) Also scandalous for the boy band? One of these artist dressing rooms must require smoking.
One Direction also like to eat and drink local after the show, with an addendum asking for three cases of local brews and a binder filled with menus that can range from Steak and Shake to Chick Fil A, though "LOCAL treats or famous joints are the best."
Other items on the rider include giving insight to One Directions favorite sodas (Coke, Sprite) and games (ping-pong, pinball).
