A mashup sync of Taylor Swift's "Style" music video and Lana Del Rey's hit song "Summertime Sadness" is going viral on Tumblr. KQED likens the video to syncing up Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon to The Wizard Of Oz film and explains the phenomenon "is due to sheer coincidence and something called apophenia, which is described as 'the experience of perceiving patterns or connections in random or meaningless data.'"
The moody tone of Swift's "Style" video is a great companion to Del Rey's forlorn "Summertime Sadness." Other than a few times that Swift's lips don't match up to what's being sung, the pairing is pretty spot on.
