All eyes were on Chris Stapleton and Justin Timberlake last week when the artists took on "Tennessee Whiskey" and "Drink You Away" during the CMAs, but it's Stapleton's wife Morgane who is his favorite collaborator.

Morgane frequently joins her husband on the road and served as a creative collaborator on Traveler, the album that had Chris walking away from the CMAs with three of the night's top awards for New Artist of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year and Album of the Year.

According to Rolling Stone Country, Morgane can be a real force on the road keeping Chris sane and the band, crew and sometimes the crowd in check. At a Nashville show in May, she interrupted a fight that had broken out among the crowd with some cutting words from the stage.

The couple's connection is so strong, Rolling Stone Country is comparing it to country's most famed married duet -- Johnny Cash and June Carter.

"It's how we're drawn to each other in the first place, was music. That's our foundation in a lot of ways. Maybe that's what shows," Morgane says. "I don't want to make music without him."

Chris recalled how he couldn't talk, let along sing, before his performance at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium and Morgane was able to pick up much of the singing duties for the night. He'd do the same for her, Chris added.

It's been a big week for the couple's album, Traveler, as it rocketed to No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart following the CMA performance and shattered any previous expectations he had for album sales. Timberlake is even seeing a boost in airplay on the country charts this week despite his usual electro-pop style.
