One Direction were the kings of Twitter in 2015. On Monday (Dec. 7), the social media site shared its list of the 10 biggest tweets of the year, and no surprises, Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson had five of the most popular messages of the year.

The largest of One Direction's big tweets came in the wake of Malik's shocking departure from the boy band in March, The Washington Post reports. After Malik announced that he would no longer be in the band (as it continued for an international tour and fifth studio album), Harry Styles shared one message to his fans: "All the love as always." The simple message (which could be classified as a sub-tweet) was posted on March 25 and has since gathered over 730,000 retweets and 745,000 likes.

That was the biggest tweet of the year, but No. 2 also went to One Direction. Malik sent out some "big love" to his former bandmates after they dropped the lead Made in the A.M. single "Drag Me Down," and his shout-out gathered over 566,000 retweets and 674,000 likes.

The third, fifth and seventh most popular tweets also went to One Direction's members. No. 3 was a thank you from Liam Payne to his bandmates, No. 5 was from Louis Tomlinson thanking his fans in the middle of his Naughty Boy feud and No. 7 was a note from Niall Horan to Payne.

The messages from 1D came above some other big tweets, such as President Barack Obama's celebration of the Supreme Court ruling on gay marriage, the crowning of King Salman and Caitlyn Jenner's inaugural tweet.
