It took some time, but Kanye West and Kim Kardashian West have finally decided on a name for their newborn son and it's heavenly.

The baby boy, who has remained nameless since his birth on Dec. 5, has been given the name Saint West, which by definition means, "a person acknowledged as holy or virtuous and typically regarded as being in heaven after death." Many gave their own suggestions on what the baby's name should be and Easton West was among the favorites of many and was first suggested during Kardashian's appearance on Ellen, where host Ellen DeGeneres provided a full list of her own baby names.

During the show, Kardashian revealed that although she liked the name Easton, Kanye was against it so it was more than likely not going to happen. She was right. According to People, the couple revealed the name on Dec. 7 through Kardashian's website and app. The announcement read, "To our fans. Saint West. 12.05.15. 8 pounds, 1 ounce."

Though previous reports suggested that Kardashian was all set to give baby Saint the middle name of her late father, Robert Kardashian, recent reports revealed that the baby is still without a middle name.

The news of Kadashian's delivery was announced though her website and app according to E Online, who reported the Saturday morning message that read, ""KANYE AND I WELCOME OUR BABY BOY!" Though the birth of baby Saint was probably the most anticipated birth of the year, for Kim, it was reportedly the most painful birth.

According to TMZ, it took a long time for her to give birth due to placenta accreta, "a condition where the placenta grows too deeply into the uterus," according to the site. The birth was described as a "very painful" natural birth of which Kardashian is still recovering from. The site also reports how she doesn't have much of an appetite and is indulging in hospital oatmeal.
