Lady Gaga's new album 2013 ARTPOP has been surrounded by intense anticipation, hype and a few questions. Earlier this month, Mother Monster announced the release date of her new album, smart phone app and single. Several days later, the name of the first single, "Applause," was unveiled via Gaga's social network site littlemonsters.com.
With an app, a single and a highly anticipated album on the way, Gaga has taken to her official Twitter account to clear up details surrounding the multiple releases and the rollout for ARTPOP.
Beginning by responding to little monster @HausOfLenise, Gaga confirmed that the ARTPOP app will be available for both Apple and Android users.

Mother Monster then cleared up some questions on how, exactly, the app will function, its price and whether or not music can be downloaded directly from the source or iTunes. (Answer: both ways work just fine.)

Gaga then elaborated on, what, exactly the ARTPOP app is. By some surface tweets, it seems like a phone-capable extension of littlemonsters.com, allowing fans to interact with one another and the music and artwork of Gaga's third LP.

On Sunday, July 28, Lady Gaga announced: "Due to public anticipation ITUNES will now offer preorder for ARTPOP album/app AUG 19 the same day you can purchase my new single 'Applause,'" both confirming the release date for the application and the official name for the new song.
