Wiz Khalifa may be busy promoting his new album Khalifa and single "Bake Sale," but that doesn't mean the "See You Again" rapper has lost the skill of freestyle. This week, he stopped by Los Angeles' Power 106 and showed off his impressive (and versatile) flow by giving Adele's No. 1 hit "Hello" a stoner-friendly freestyle remix.
On Tuesday (Jan. 26) Khalifa sat down with the host of L.A.'s Power 106, Mister Cap and his freestyle skills were put to the test. "Like if there's a beat or anything, can you just write to anything?" Cap asked Khalifa. "I have to feel it. What you got a beat or something?" Khalifa replied before bursting into a fit of laughter at the fact that he had been set up.
This is in turn prompted Cap to turn on the instrumental of Adele's "Hello" ballad which Khalifa renamed to "Hella O's." "Roll one up and lets get high / I am trying to get fried / I bought some weed and you can smoke / You tryna get high, I'm tryna toke / Hit this weed and don't you choke / Oh oh ooh," he rhymed over the instrumental for about a minute and a half.
The freestyle comes on the heels of Khalifa revealing the release date, cover art and tracklisting for his sixth upcoming studio album dropping Feb. 5. The album follows up his Cabin Fever 3 mixtape which dropped back in December. The upcoming album is set to feature artists such as Rico Love, Ty Dolla $ign, Chevy Woods, Travis Scott, Juicy J and more.
