Kanye West and Kid Cudi's feud is now Instagram official. Ye's return to the social media giant was highly-awaited after his infamous tirades against Pete Davidson in March prompted his months-long suspension.

Ye and Davidson's spat came to fruition after his estranged wife, Kim Kardashian, revealed that she is now dating the comedian, which angered the rap mogul.

Meanwhile, Kid Cudi was thrown in the mix because of his pre-existing good friendship with the "Saturday Night Live" actor, which sparked the new beef between him and Ye.

Kanye West, Kid Cudi Beef Explained

Originally, West and Cudi were good friends as they are frequent collaborators, working on songs such as "Reborn," "Erase Me," and "Welcome to Heartbreak," among others.

The two maintained a good friendship over the past years. But, it was tainted when Cudi's good friend - Pete Davidson, started dating West's estranged wife, Kim Kardashian.

Kid Cudi was even present on Kanye West's GRAMMY-nominated "DONDA," which was released in 2021.

The rap mogul then announced that Cudi would not be reprising his role on the "DONDA" follow-up, "DONDA 2," which packs a lot of collaborators, including Baby Keem, Future, Travis Scott, Quavo, Alicia Keys, Fivio Foreign, Jack Harlow, The Game, Playboi Carti, and Soulja Boy, among others.

Cudi hit back with a vicious response - which fans thought was the start of the souring of their friendship.

"Too bad I don't wanna be on ur album u f*ckin dinosaur hahaha. Everyone knows I've been the best thing about ur albums since I met you. Ima pray for u brother. We talked weeks ago about this. You're whack for flipping the script and posting this lie just for a look on the internet. You ain't no friend. BYE," Kid Cudi fired on Instagram.

After his retort, Ye extended an olive branch days after, telling Cudi he "loves" him, looking like a truce. It remained unanswered, however.

Now, in Ye's return to the platform, he made it all official, well, as per DJ Akademiks.

Ye reclaimed his spot back on Instagram after calling out Adidas CEO Kasper Rorsted over the company's new Adilette slides, which he claims are a "blatant" copy of his own Yeezy design. (via HipHop DX)

Akademiks recently took the time to check Ye's following tab as he returned. Turns out, Ye, who had been following Kid Cudi before, finally hit the unfollow button on the former collaborator.
