Aaron Carter's body was discovered in his bathtub on November 5.

He was apparently preparing to change his life a week following his untimely death and the police encounter he had just days before the tragedy.

Aaron Carter's Last Months Before Death

In September, the former child star claimed that he willingly enrolled in an outpatient treatment program in order to reclaim custody of his almost one-year-old son, Prince.

He told The Sun, "It's an abstinence program and I work with an individual counselor."

"I do group therapy, parenting classes, domestic violence classes. I got myself certified in CPR, just a lot of different things."

Aaron said that owing to domestic violence and drug usage issues, a court order demanded his fiancée Melanie Martin's mother have interim custody of their baby.

Though he claimed the treatment session was not ordered by a court, he stated he was attending because he wanted his son back.

Melanie accused the "Aaron's Party" singer of breaking three of her ribs during a fight earlier this year. However, the 34-year-old musician rejected the allegations of assault, and the fiancée subsequently stated on Instagram that she made up the "untrue" claims due to postpartum depression.

Aaron also denied being addicted to pharmaceutical medicines and said he was looking for help regulating the triggers that made him want to use marijuana.

He also confessed to taking Xanax but said it was part of his "regimented medication" plan, which helped keep him "clean from huffing dust."

Aaron Carter: A Week Before Death

Before his death, Aaron Carter was in the process of selling his house and beginning a "new chapter" for himself and his family.

He said in a tweet on Oct. 29, "Selling my 2nd home. Real estate has been super good to me. Ready for a new chapter in my 3rd home which I plan on staying to make a beautiful life for my family."

"This year has been super tough but I've learned so much. Thanks for the support everyone."

The tweet was accompanied by a $799,900 Zillow link. The house, located on Valley Vista Drive in Lancaster, California, has seven bedrooms and four bathrooms.

It has a total size of 4,131 square feet.

Aaron Carter: 3 Days Before Death

Meanwhile, three days before his death, Aaron Carter was suspected of driving under the influence.

According to TMZ, the "I'm All About You" singer was pulled over on Tuesday morning amid complaints that he was negligently driving a recreational vehicle.

Aaron was eventually cleared after passing the field sobriety test administered by the police.

However, the publication observed that it was a windy day at the time, which might explain why the RV was weaving on the road.
