Takeoff was shot dead on November 1, 2023, but little did the public know that there were also other victims involved in the crime. More recently, survivor Sydney Leday spoke out to detail what happened during that traumatizing evening.

The victim spoke in an interview with The Shade Room and recalled the incident, saying she was out with her friends for her 24th birthday and they decided to celebrate it in Houston, Texas.

Leday noted she and her companions got to the venue around 1 a.m. After a night of partying, they went outside because it was time for them to go home.

Things changed in an instant when she saw someone pulling out a firearm and it caught her off guard, leading her to run as fast as she can to prevent being involved in the incident.

Sydney Leday Didn't Realize She Was Shot

However, the woman didn't realize that she was also shot in the head and she didn't realize it until she noticed a lot of blood.

"I felt the sting in my head... I didn't realize what actually happened to me, and fortunately, I had on a wig and a wig cap. So, I took the wig off and noticed that I had a lot of blood," she added. (via Complex)

After waking up from the coma, Leday recalled seeing "everybody" and she told her mother that she wanted to go home because she had never been in a hospital like that.

"But I remembered what happened, because I was up the whole time after I got shot in the head and I called my mom," she added.
