Aaron Carter's cause of death has finally been released by the authorities. However, some of his closest friends and family members are still doubtful about the coroner's report as his former representative claimed something happened at the time of his death.

According to Page Six, the musician's former publicist, Kelly K, issued a statement almost a day after reports of the pop star's cause of death made rounds online.

Speaking to the outlet, the representative said they're glad the case is "finally closed" so everyone could celebrate his life and "send him off to rest."

However, the former spokesperson is doubtful of the reports, saying they know two people were at his home prior to his death and they were curious why the unidentified people haven't been investigated or identified by the police.

As of this writing, the Los Angeles Sherriff's Department, which was tasked to investigate Aaron Carter's case, has not publicly commented on the matter, but they previously confirmed that there was no foul play involved at the pop star's death.

Aaron Carter Cause of Death

The recent claims come after the coroner's report, obtained by Us Weekly Magazine, was publicized, stating that the singer's death had been ruled an accident.

The musician, who was a popular singer and reality star in the early 2000s, reportedly drowned in his bathtub due to "the effects of difluoroethane and alprazolam."

Difluoroethane, which is highly flammable and could cause frostbite in some cases, is a type of gas that can be found in spray cleaners; it is also linked to cases of cardiac issues.

Alprazolam is a medication that comes in a tablet form that is commonly used to treat "depression" and could cause "drowsiness" to people who are taking it.

The report noted that the musician became incapacitated while in the bathtub due to the effects of taking the tablet and inhaling compressed gas, leading him to be submerged underwater and ultimately die.

Aaron Carter was later found by his housekeeper at his home in California on November 5, 2022.
