Lana Del Rey has inspired an entire generation with her music that has been released for over a decade now. More recently, Billie Eilish gave the alternative singer her flowers and commended her for her contribution to the music scene.

The "What Was I Made For" hitmaker recently spoke in an episode with the "At Your Service" podcast hosted by Dua Lipa.

In the interview, the musician opened up about five albums that formed her music taste through the years and she included Lana Del Rey's record "Born to Die" released in 2012.

She further explained that the album "changed music" especially for girls.

"Born to Die by my girl Lana. I feel that that album changed music - and especially changed music for girls and the potential of what is possible," she said. (via People Magazine)

The four albums that Eilish listened to during her teenage years were "Because the Internet" by Childish Gambino, "Believe" and "Journals" by Justin Bieber, and "Wiped Out!" by the Neighbourhood, the same band where Jesse Rutherford is a part of.

The singer and Rutherford dated from October 2022 until May 2023.

Lana Del Rey 'Born to Die's Impact on Music

According to the Grammy's official website, "Born to Die" was Lana Del Rey's first album to be released under a major label.

The alternative singer dropped the record in January 27, 2012. It was considered to be one of the most-influential and game-changing albums for pop music and the industry itself.

The reason behind it is that Del Rey challenged the norms of pop music and added orchestral sound and melancholy notes in her lyrics.

In the 2010s era where musicians like Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Nicki Minaj, and more were thriving, the musician's new album made a big impact that skyrocketed her successful career.

Lana Del Rey Updates

The recent news comes after Lana Del Rey announced that she would be embarking on a tour in cities across the United States.

In early reports, the musician will begin her limited tour (10 dates only) in Tennessee. She will also visit cities like Texas, Alabama, Mississippi, Pennsylvania, Florida, and West Virginia.

Her last show would be at the Charleston Coliseum in Charleston, West Virginia, on October 5, 2023.
