Katy Perry appears to be locked in a heated battle with Carl Westcott - an 84-year-old war veteran.

This conflict revolves around selling his home in Santa Barbara and the millions it could generate for her.

Sources near Carl reported that Katy's desire to acquire his fortune is linked to her disdain for elderly people and reverence towards those who served their country.

Recently, the outrageous amount of $225 million Katy is said to have made from the sale of her music catalog has been widely discussed.

This figure led many to challenge the notion that she would need even a penny of 1-800-Flowers founder's substantial wealth or his luxurious estate.

The 2020 sale of Carl's home is under increased scrutiny as his legal team prepares for trial.

At the time, the property was purchased by singer Katy Perry and her "Lord of The Rings" fiancé, Orlando Bloom.

It has been alleged that Carl was coerced into selling while taking painkillers and recovering from back surgery, which took six hours to complete.

According to the lawsuit Katy filed, Carl had failed to pay her the $5.3 million that she was due in compensation for damages and loss of rental income on a home she purchased from him.

Despite withdrawing her rental complaint, the "Thinking Of You" singer still insists on paying $2.6 million for what they claim was a lack of income from Carl's residence.

Sources close to the family of the elderly businessman - including the "Real Housewives of Dallas" star, Kameron Westcott - are adamant that Katy Perry is attempting to take legal action as a result of her hatred towards the elderly, mentally ill, and veterans, citing the recent $225M sale of her catalog and existing vast wealth.

As they state, this is all "exemplified" in her actions.

But in response to the allegations, Jay Cooper, the pop star's attorney, has denied any truth to them to Radar Online. He states that Katy has never spoken ill of the elderly, mentally ill, or veterans. Not only this but she has also been involved in charitable work for those who are less fortunate in society.

In expressing his opinion, the lawyer stated that Katy's only justification for taking legal action is making a written agreement with Carl.

At the same time, he was entirely capable of understanding it. This contract was made so she could have a residence to live with her family.
