The N.W.A biopic Straight Outta Compton has been a blockbuster success, pulling in a cool 56.1 million on the opening weekend at the box office. The film has been heralded by fans and critics alike, but there have been a few omissions or factual inaccuracies that have made headlines. Possibly the most glaring was Dr. Dre's abusive relationship with hip-hop reporter Dee Barnes, which was glossed over in the film, as well as his other alleged incidents of violence towards women. Barnes has spoken out about the incident and now the original script has leaked with a scene featuring Dre's abuse of Barnes. -

Run The Jewels, Pussy Riot Playing Banksy's Dismaland Theme Park
Anonymous street artist Bansky has become something of a cultural icon and he is using his cache to build a brand new theme park in the UK called Dismaland. The 2.5 acre park is located on the seafront site of a derelict location in Weston-super-Mare. In addition to the various art installations scattered around the park, there will be live musical guests each Friday night going until 1 a.m., plus DJs every Saturday night. Among those who have been booked so far are Run The Jewels, Massive Attack, Pussy Riot and Kate Tempest. -

Karen O unveiled a grainy, New York City themed short film for "Singalong" featuring stranger flooded streets, city dwellers sucked into their cell phones and sweethearts exchanging kisses and holding tightly to their dog leashes on park benches. The Asli Baykal-directed short boasts a lo-fi attribute that conjures a Seventies slide show while the Yeah Yeah Yeahs front woman delivers the lines-"All alone on your way home / You could be wrong, sing it anyway / Sing along your favorite song" - over gentle strums of the guitar. -
