Rick Ross Denied Bail On Kidnapping Charges; Makes First Court Appearance
The rapper allegedly got into an altercation with his grounds keeper for one of his properties, and reports suggested he held the groundsman against his will, and then proceeded to pistol whip him with the butt of a gun that resulted in him having a cracked jaw, where he was restricted to a liquid diet. Ouch. Ross' bodyguard is also faced with the same charges, from the incident stemming on June 7th. Today he makes his first court appearance in effort to plead before the judge. -

Earlier today, the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) declared that Rihanna is the highest selling singles artist in its history. The "BBHMM" singer became the first artist ever to ever cross the mind-boggling threshold of 100 million gold and platinum song certifications. Rihanna is a full 12 million ahead of her competition Taylor Swift, who has sold 88 million singles in the United States, followed by the "Bad Blood" singer's rival Katy Perry at 79 million. -

Breaking Benjamin Breaks Sales Mark with New Album; Tori Kelly + Kacey Musgraves Follow
Apparently the waiting only makes desire stronger, or at least that's what Breaking Benjamin learned with its most recent release, 'Dark Before Dawn.' The band had gone more than six years without a new album but the new release debuted with 141,000 equivalent copies sold (and 135,000 actual copies, marking the group's highest sales week ever). It's also the band's first no. 1 album on the Billboard 200. Kacey Musgraves and Tori Kelly also dropped new albums.
