  • David Byrne and original cast to stage 'Here Lies Love' to raise money for Philippines Typhoon Haiyan relief

    David Byrne, best known for fronting The Talking Heads and collaborating with St. Vincent, is resurrecting one of his most recent projects to benefit the relief mission in the Philippines. Here Lies Love, a play/live album put together by Byrne and Fatboy Slim will play for one night at Terminal 5 in New York City, with all proceeds going to Doctors Without Borders, specifically to aid the organization's work following the typhoon in the Philippines.

    Fred Armisen (Saturday Night Live and Portlandia) and his buddy J Mascis (Dinosaur Jr.) shared the stage last week at Boston's Berklee College of Music. Along with Christian rock singer Leigh Nash (Sixpence None the Richer) and drummer Michael Lerner (Telekinesis), the group took on a cover of the seminal TLC hit "Waterfalls" for the crowd.
  • David Blaine makes Kanye West giggle with disbelief

    Illusionist David Blaine's new show "Real or Magic" just aired on ABC, and during the 90-minute special, Blaine proceeds to completely mystify a variety of A-list celebrities, including Kanye West, Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith, even Woody Harrelson makes an appearance.

    So Jennifer Nettles thinks she can handle touring solo, without the help of fellow Sugarland member Kristian Bush, eh? Well two can play that game Jennifer! Bush, albeit not phrasing it anything like the way we just framed the story, announced that he too would be going on a solo tour of sorts, although not nearly as extensive as Nettles.
