He even said that a duet between he and his late mother, who recorded some music before she died, is a possibility.

    Slayer will reportedly release its 11th studio album later this year. The metal act will tease fans this Record Store Day with a single from the album, "When the Stillness Comes." The new tune will mark only the second piece of music the band has released since the death of founding guitarist Jeff Hanneman in 2013 -- they shared "Implode" last year. Limited edition copies of the single will hit participating record stores April 18, "Rolling Stone" noted.

    Faith No More debuted a new song from their upcoming "Sol Invictus" album titled "Cone of Shame." The fan footage from the show in Japan is not of the highest quality, but it shows off the creepy tone of the song. The track follows the menacing lead single "Motherf**ker," the band's first piece of new music since 1997's "Album of the Year." The second official single from the album, "Superhero," will drop in March, Blabbermouth noted.

    The 2015 class of wordsmiths to be inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame includes a cowboy, a blues legend and two Deadheads. Toby Keith, Willie Dixon and the partnership of Jerry Garcia and Robert Hunter will all be welcomed to the hall during a ceremony June 18 in New York City. Cyndi Lauper, Bobby Braddock and Linda Perry are among the other inductees, "Rolling Stone" noted.

    Gucci Mane is on a music-dropping rampage as of late. The Atlanta rapper kicked off 2015 with "1017 Mafia: Incarcerated" before dropping "Brick Factory 3" last week. Ahead of his "Trap House 5" release, Mane has shared an eight-song EP, "Views From Zone 6," featuring the likes of 2 Chainz, Chief Keef and Lil B.     Afroman was arrested following a show last night, Feb. 17, in Mississippi, and it was not because he got high. Video from the Biloxi gig shows a woman onstage dancing while Afroman begins a guitar solo. Seemingly out of nowhere, the rapper punches the fan in the face, dropping her to the floor on Mardi Gras. The show went on for the "Colt 45" singer -- he picked back up on the solo before security escorted him off the stage, TMZ noted.

    PBS series "Blank on Blank" recently shared a lost interview involving Velvet Underground mastermind Lou Reed. The singer threw shade at two famous bands -- The Doors and The Beatles -- revealing that he thought the former was "stupid" and the latter was "garbage." The lively chat took place in 1986 between him and music executive Joe Smith.
  • Beck Announces New Tour Dates

    Beck just announced a handful of new dates for the spring. The "Morning Phase" singer will make stops at the Hangout Music Festival and the Boston Calling Music Festival in addition to a few solo dates in May. The announcement comes a little more than a week after the artist took home the Grammy Award for Album of the Year, beating out Beyoncé's self-titled effort.
