• T-Pain Explains Why Aaliyah Collaboration Didn't Make Mixtape 'The Iron Way'

T-Pain, real name Faheem Rashad Najm, sat down with Vulture to discuss his recently released mixtape, his evolution as a person over the past few years from an auto-tune only artist to someone who can show off his talents beyond the mechanized voice and revealed what happened to the rumored Aaliyah collaboration that was set to be a part of his tape, The Iron Way. At the end of the interview, Najm coyly revealed that FKA Twigs, an artist who he looks to for inspiration had recently become secretly engaged to her movie star boyfriend Robert Pattinson. He caused a huge stir with these comments, which happened to come on April first and T-Pain probably deserves the award for biggest troll of the day after he revealed he was just messing with everyone.

  • 5 Musicians Who Survived Plane Crashes a la Harrison Ford: Travis Barker, Bono, Paul McCartney and More

Harrison Ford's dramatic crash-landing of a vintage WWII single-engine aircraft onto a Los Angeles golf course was certainly the most shocking piece of news yesterday. Maybe just as shocking (and definitely relieving) was that the Indiana Jones/Star Wars/Blade Runner icon escaped with only minor injuries. As we all know, too many celebrities, especially musicians—Buddy Holly, John Devner, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Aaliyah and more—have perished in aviation accidents . Fortunately, a fair amount of musicians have also managed to escape from potential disaster when trips go awry. Here are five musicians who managed to escape potentially fatal accidents in the air.
  • Hear Frank Ocean's Moving Cover of Aaliyah's 'At Your Best (You Are Love)' [LISTEN]

On Jan. 16, treasured R&B/soul singer Aaliyah would have turned 36, and to honor her life, Frank Ocean covered the One In A Million singer's rendition of "At Your Best (You Are Love)," an Isley Brothers track from 1976 that was covered by Aaliyah in 1994. Frank Ocean took to his active Tumblr account to share the stripped-down and soulful cover. The Channel Orange singer dishes a moving falsetto, which he titles "You Are Luhh," that is a fitting tribute to the R&B singer who was taken from us too soon. His version seems to transition at the end into something unrelated — possibly new music from Ocean. Listen to the rendition below via Ocean's Tumblr.
