  • Danzig Allegedly Punches Photographer, Confirms Retirement from Touring

Danzig, the stage name of former Misfits frontman Glenn Anzalone, allegedly punched a photographer during a concert in Montreal last week. Following the incident, Danzig reportedly told Loudwire, "I think this is going to be it" after one of his New York City shows this past week, asserting, "I'll do some shows here or there, but I don't think I'm going to tour anymore." The metal-infused horror punk pioneer will finish his remaining Blackest of the Black North American tour dates with Superjoint before retiring from the road.
  • Elvis Gone Metal: Covers from Black Sabbath, Motörhead, Danzig and More

Metal fans (and hopefully music fans in general) were thrilled to hear today that Glenn Danzig—frontman for his self-titled band, Samhain and of The Misfits—will be releasing an Elvis Presley covers album during 2015. It got us thinking: There are way too few Elvis covers out there played by metal bands. Discounting a band that's whole schtick is being half metal, half-Elvis (Volbeat), it's tough to find worthwhile Elvis covers in the metal world. We, for one, totally hope this changes.
  • Glenn Danzig Reports an Elvis Presley Covers EP Coming during 2015

We should have learned by now that stories about Glenn Danzig don't bring in the big hits, but we just can't stop from coming back. Everything about the guy, from lawsuits to proposed golden statues of him riding a dragon in Austin, is awesome. This week's tidbit: The former Misfits frontman will be releasing an extended play of Elvis Presley covers at some point during 2015.
  • 5 Musicians With Two Equally Famous Bands

Plenty of musicians join more than one band throughout their careers, but most of them end up being associated with just one band. That's why Paul McCartney is always referred to as a member of the Beatles, and not a member of Wings. However, there are some artists who are lucky enough to have been members of two different bands that are equally as famous or influential. Here are five artists that are equally known for two different bands.
  • 7 Rock Stars Who Also Write Classical Music

I once had a teacher who said that if you understand classical music, you wouldn't listen to anything else. That's obviously a wild exaggeration and completely pompous, and as these seven musicians proved, it is completely possible to love both classical and rock music. Here are seven rock stars that also write classical music.
  • 6 Bands That Released Music Under Two Different Names

In a world where the Smashing Pumpkins can tour and release music with only one original member, it's unusual to see bands change their names with only the slightest shifts in line-up or style. Here are six bands that released music under two different names.
  • 8 Pairs of Songs with the Same Title: Which is Better?

While musicians can be sued if they plagiarize lyrics or melodies, song titles are pretty much fair game, resulting in a ton of songs with the same name. I’ve decided to stack up some of the best songs that share titles and see which is better. These might seem like arbitrary comparisons based on a coincidence, but so are “Best of the Year” lists, and those are cool.
