• Jack White Defends TIDAL: "It's Not About The Rich Getting Richer"

The story of newly relaunched streaming service TIDAL has been one of ups and mostly downs thus far in its fledgling nearly two-month old lifespan. The Jay Z-acquired company has faced a constant stream of criticism not necessarily for the product, but for the marketing its message. Fans and industry observers have criticized it as elite, being represented at a now infamous press conference with 16 of the most powerful and wealthy musicians in the world who proclaim they want artists to earn more for their product. Hov has been doing a lot of the public relations campaign on behalf of the company, running townhall-style meetings and even going on long Twitter rants. Now one of the more silent partners thus far, Jack White, has answered some of his fans questions in a Q&A on his label's website.

  • Jack White Makes 'Six-Figure' Donation to National Blues Museum for Interactive Exhibit

Jack White caught flack when hacked e-mails revealed his distaste for the Black Keys allegedly ripping him off...so at least he's generous in acknowledging the musical acts from which he pieced to gather his signature style. The guitarist made a healthy contribution to the National Blues Museum, which is scheduled to open in St. Louis later this year. The organization told media that the dollar figure was in the "six figure" range.

  • Where Has Bob Dylan Not Played in 'Never Ending Tour'? Alaska and Africa Craving Some Attention

Jack White has certainly found his way around but he's got nothing on Bob Dylan, the ultimate road warrior. The folk icon has been enrolled on his "Never Ending Tour" since 1988, and the statistics demonstrate just how far he's gone. As of a report from 2013, Dylan had played 2,500 shows in more than 800 cities and travelled more than 1,000,000 miles...enough to have travelled to the moon and back by bus...twice. With a travel log like that, it's even more interesting to check out where the performer hasn't been, versus where he actually played. We found some interesting anomalies since updating the numbers for the past two years. Alaska, Africa and India are craving some Dylan in their lives.

Billboard brings up a good question however: How will serving Tidal exclusively affect the way a song or album charts?
  • 7 Highest Priced Records on eBay Right Now: The Beatles, Robert Johnson and The Stooges Included

Jack White made headlines last week when he announced that he was the bidder who spent $300,000 for the acetate of Elvis Presley's original single, a 7" pressing from Sun Records featuring "My Happiness" and "That's When Your Heartaches Begin," and that his label Third Man Records would be releasing copies of the recording for Record Store Day 2015.
