• Robert Plant Wants To Work With Jack White

Former Led Zeppelin frontman Robert Plant took part in a Facebook chat with fans earlier today (Sept. 9) and revealed that he would like to work with guitar hero Jack White.
  • 7 Incredible Minimalist Music Videos

Pop music videos have a tendency to be flashy and eye-catching, with cuts that are so quick that there's not really any room for subtlety or nuance. However, these seven artists ignored these conventions and instead made videos that are startlingly minimalist and uncomplicated.
  • 8 Artists Jack White Should Produce

When news broke this week that Jack White was possibly interested in producing the next Libertines album, it made perfect sense, since The Libertines' garage rock sound is just the sort of thing that White is known for. Here are some other artists that we'd like to see Jack White produce.
  • Jack White 'Said He'd Like To Produce' Next Libertines Album, Says Pete Doherty

In a recent interview with D8 TV in France, Libertines frontman Pete Doherty revealed that one of the potential producers for the band's comeback album is none other than Jack White, claiming that the former White Stripes frontman "said he'd like to produce" the album, which would be their first since their 2004 sophomore effort The Libertines.
  • XL Recordings Release 25th Anniversary Collection

Few labels have been so proficiently efficient as XL Recordings, in terms of turning our consistently quality work from such a small roster of performers. The label-which currently counts Adele, Radiohead and Jack White as members-is releasing a 25th anniversary compilation, titled Pay Close Attention, that features music from throughout its existence. The title is a reference to a Kool Keith sample used by label member The Prodigy for the track "Out of Space."
  • 6 Lo-Fi Albums By Big Rock Stars

One of my favorite genres of music is lo-fi, or "low-fidelity," meaning artists who record their songs onto cheap equipment. Though most lo-fi artists are DIY musicians who work outside of the mainstream and use cheap equipment out of necessity, there are still some highly successful rock stars that have chosen to go lo-fi for aesthetic reasons, or simply out of convenience. Here are six lo-fi albums that were recorded by big rock stars.
  • Beyoncé's Producer Is Wrong: 8 Artists That Prove Guitar Music Isn't Dead

This past week, pop producer Greg Kurstin, who has worked with the likes of Beyoncé and Kelly Clarkson, declared that guitar music is at an "all time low," especially in the United States. Anyone who follows music that goes even slightly off the mainstream knows that this claim is absolutely false, and here are 8 current artists (all American, by the way) to prove it.
  • Jack White Covered Jimi Hendrix, Performed Longest Show Of Career Last Night [LISTEN]

Just like the vinyl edition of his most recent album Lazaretto was gimmicky in an astonishing number of ways, Jack White's recent shows seem to be newsworthy for a number of reasons as well. In addition to pulling a fan on stage to play guitar with him on the White Stripes classic "Seven Nation Army," White's show at the Chicago Theatre last night was also the longest of his career, clocking in at a foot-blistering three hours with a 33-song set list, which you can read below. Among these songs were covers by Muddy Waters, Bob Dylan, and Jimi Hendrix, and as Consequence of Sound points out, the show also marked White's first performance of the White Stripes' "Blue Orchid" in seven years.
  • Jack White Joining Neil Young, Willie Nelson and Dave Matthews for Annual Farm Aid Festival

Farm Aid will be traveling to Raleigh, NC to the Walnut Creek Amphitheater and you can probably guess a handful of the headliners right off the bat: Willie Nelson, Neil Young, Dave Matthews and John Mellencamp. Those four are members of the Farm Aid board so they traditionally make appearances at the yearly festival, but there are some big names outside of the board that will show up as well. Jack White for one.
  • Jack White & Baseball: A History - Third Man Records Boss Not Always Sad At Cubs Games [PHOTOS/VIDEO]

With the Internet going crazy over the disappointed face Jack White made during last night's Cubs-Padres game, we thought we'd look into the rocker's relationship with the sport. Over the past few weeks, his Third Man Records Instagram account has posted photos of him attending baseball games in cities where his tour stops (scroll through the images below), but White has a connection to baseball that extends beyond the 2014 season. Here's what we know...
  • Jack White Covers Lorde's 'Royals' In Concert [WATCH]

It looks like Jack White has joined Nirvana and Bruce Springsteen on the list of rockers who think Lorde is pretty cool. At a show in Milwaukee last night, July 21, White performed a cover of the New Zealand pop star's massive hit "Royals." As of right now, the only video footage of this performance is a brief, blurry video posted to Instagram, but it's definitely enough to get the picture and realize just how strange this must have been for the audience. Pitchfork reports that White has also performed covers of Jay-Z's "99 Problems" and the Stooges' "I Wanna Be Your Dog" during previous stops on his current tour.
