  • 7 Great Frank Sinatra Covers from Bob Dylan, Lady Gaga, Aretha Franklin, Sex Pistols and More

A source indicated today that Bob Dylan might be considering a second album of Frank Sinatra to accompany this year's Shadows In The Night. Sinatra was himself a master of the cover, often taking popular songs and immortalizing them with his own iconic voice, so it's sensible that plenty of others would cover Old Blue Eyes in turn. Music Times chose a brief set of our favorite tributes to one of the greatest vocalists of all time.

  • Lady Gaga Releases Powerful New Song 'Till It Happens To You' Co-Written by Diane Warren from 'The Hunting Ground' Documentary [LISTEN]

Lady Gaga just performed a tribute to The Sound of Music at the 2015 Oscars, but she's not done contributing to the world of music and film. After announcing that she had recorded a theme song for the campus rape documentary The Hunting Ground last month, today (Feb. 27), the result "Till it Happens to You" co-written by Diane Warren has surfaced online.
  • John Legend, Common and 'Glory' Lead Post-Oscars Sales Boost; Lady Gaga, Jennifer Hudson Boost Inspirations

John Legend and Common have already added a slight boost to sales of their single "Glory" from the film 'Selma' despite last week's sales tallies ending a short while after Sunday night's Oscars telecast. That and the rest of the songs nominated/performed on Sunday saw a rise in sales numbers, while an even bigger boost should be expected for next week's totals.
  • Fox Affiliate Anchor Kristi Capel Suspended for Using Racial Slur to Describe Lady Gaga's Performances

The fallout continues for Cleveland's 'Fox 8 in the Morning' anchor Kristi Capel, who on Monday, Feb. 23, made the potentially career-ending mistake of using a racial slur on air. While doing an Oscar recap with co-anchor Wayne Dawson for the Fox affiliate, Capel praised Lady Gaga's performance by saying she usually cannot hear her voice because of the "jigaboo music" she uses. In case Capel did not offend people the first time, she then used the word a second time to really drive home her point, and boy, did viewers get it. In spite of issuing an apology, the reaction has been so bad Capel has been suspended from the air.

  • Madonna Dishes on Lady Gaga Feud, Kanye West as a "Brilliant Madman" and Taylor Swift in New 'Rolling Stone' Issue

Madonna is so bored by all of those Lady Gaga feud rumors. After the two pop megastars had a tiff over "Born This Way" sounding a little too much like the Madge classic "Express Yourself" years ago, the two have constantly been pitted against each other by the media and fans. But, now the "Living for Love" singer herself is saying there's not really any bad blood between the two in the latest issue of Rolling Stone
  • Fox News Anchor Kristi Capel Uses Racial Slur to Describe Lady Gaga Performance

Kristi Capel of 'Fox 8 News in the Morning' in Cleveland learned the value of her words yesterday, Feb. 23, the hard way. She was discussing the Oscars with co-anchor Wayne Dawson when the topic turned to Lady Gaga's 'Sound of Music' medley. Capel was in the middle of praising Gaga and explaining how she never realized how amazing the star's voice really is because it is usually hard to hear it "with all of that jigaboo music she does or whatever you want to call it, jigaboo," said Capel, while laughing. Dawson, who just happens to be African-American, clearly had no idea how to even react to her on-air insensitivity.
  • 7 Oscar Performances Ranked: From Lady Gaga to John Legend, Rita Ora and More...What Performance Comes in at No. 1?

'Hawkman,' 'The Grand Budapest Hotel,' politically-charged speeches and general public debate over Neil Patrick Harris's role as a host are on the tips of everyone's tongues, but it's fair to say that the music performances stole a fair amount of attention at film's biggest night. Several of the performances got Twitter going like nothing else. We're going to risk our necks and rank the night's seven live performances, from John Legend to Lady Gaga.
