• Four Tet Fills In for Benji B, Drops New Joy Orbison, Pearson Sound, Madlib Tracks [Listen]

While preparing for a massive tour, Four Tet has been dropping remixes, collaborations and original tracks of his own at a pace that suggests the producer is way too busy to leave his studio for even a sandwich, let alone substitute host a three-hour-long radio broadcast. Yet when Benji B needed someone to cover his BBC Radio 1 show, Kieran Hebden didn't just fill in: he went in, dropping tons of new and otherwise unreleased tracks by Joy Orbison, Pearson Sound, Madlib, Champion, Lil Silva and Future Islands' Samuel T. Herring, among others.
  • Action Bronson Shares 'Actin Crazy,' Details 'Mr. Wonderful' [LISTEN]

Queens rapper Action Bronson has shared a new track titled "Actin Crazy" from his upcoming album "Mr. Wonderful," which you can check out below — you can check out the insane yet incredible cover art above. The track, produced by 40 and Omen, is a refreshing change of pace from the typical trap beats you hear in modern hip-hop, with a woozy, constantly swelling sound reminiscent of something that MF Doom or Madlib would have done on "Madvillainy" — in simpler terms, it is great. Though Bronson shared the tracklist for "Mr. Wonderful" late last month, "Pitchfork" reports that he has revealed the featured artists on the album, which include Chance the Rapper, Meyhem Lauren, Big Body Bes, Party Supplies and Chauncey Sherod. In addition, Mark Ronson, The Alchemist and Noah "40" Shebib are among those contributing production. You can check out Action Bronson's "Actin Crazy" here:

  • Flying Lotus Shares Doom Collaboration 'Masquatch' From 'Grand Theft Auto V' [LISTEN]

Just yesterday, experimental hip-hop producer Flying Lotus shared a new track from the upcoming re-release of Grand Theft Auto V called "Medication Meditation," featuring Krayzie Bone. Today, FlyLo is back with "Masquatch," another weird yet incredible song from the soundtrack, featuring underground hip-hop visionary DOOM (a.k.a. MF DOOM, a.k.a. Viktor Vaughn, a.k.a. King Geedorah). The track's extremely brief running time (it comes it under two minutes) is reminiscent of DOOM's classic Madlib collaboration Madvillain, and its abstract, hookless production wouldn't sound out of place on their Madvillainy LP.
