Last year, HBO purchased the distribution rights at SXSW to Mavis!, a new documentary about the life, career and struggles of Civil-Rights activists and Soul/R&B singer Mavis Staples. This week, we got to watch the first trailer for the TV movie, which features some great archival live and recording footage of the performer as well as interviews with other artists. According to various reports, Mavis Staples will be playing the Glastonbury Festival in June. Organizers for the event have yet to confirm the news, though, which means that plenty of other acts are still in the running to headline. NME and William Hill have been keeping odds for possible headliners and right now the Foo Fighters top the list followed by Fleetwood Mac, AC/DC and Muse.
