• Carve Outkast's Andre 3000 and Big Boi into Stone Mountain, Petition Demands

    A petition has proposed that Outkast members Andre 3000 and Big Boi be added to Georgia's Stone Mountain, a monument that currently displays Confederate icons Jefferson Davis, Robert E. Lee and Thom "Stonewall" Jackson. The Atlanta chapter of the NAACP is pushing for the removal of the display, in light of the South's recent realization that the Confederate flag and associated imagery is a bad thing. One hip-hop fan, Mack Williams, has an idea that he thinks will make everyone feel a little better.
  • Migos' New Single "Pipe It Up" From 'YRN: Tha Album' Arrives Online

    Migos have unveiled the second official single "Pipe It Up" from on their upcoming album YRN: Tha Album. The track is another street-focused song as Quavo and Takeoff take turns with the hook and a verse each. Offset is notably absent from the track, potentially because it was recorded after the group's April 18 arrest. Like their other party anthems, Migos encourage listeners to "pipe it up" or those who aren't up on the lingo, to turn up.

    Migos have been forced to put their careers on hold as a trio while Offset awaits trial for gun and drug charges stemming from an April incident during a show at Georgia Southern University where guns and drugs were found in the trio's dressing room. Though their debut LP, YRN: Tha Album was delayed from its original June 16 release date, the Atlanta rap trio of Quavo, Offset and Takeoff has still managed to put out new music at a prolific rate. Not to let their fans grow restless, Migos shared two new songs on their soundcloud page this weekend, "John Wick" and "Pretty Little Lady," which have the flow and the beats you expect from a tune from the "One Time" rappers.

    Amidst the turmoil surrounding Migos, especially Offset, for their involvement in an April 18th incident at Georgia Southern University where the members and their crew were arrested on drug and gun charges, the Atlanta rap trio has still managed to put out new music. Their latest track titled "On Top" crosses state boundaries as they collaborate with Houston-based rappers Sauce Walka and Sosamann on a trapped out Zaytoven-produced beat for a new single titled "On Top." The track is slated to appear on Hoodrichkeem's upcoming Tweet Tape Part 2 mixtape. This track serves as a primer for upcoming music on their new artist album YRN: Tha Album.

The "Hurricane" rapper just released his new project, 'Swag The Mixtape,' which has features from the likes of Migos, Chief Keef, Calico Jonez, Johnny Cinco and more.
  • Migos' Offset Denied Bond, Shouted Obsenities at Judge While Leaving Courtroom

    Migos' Offset, real name Kiari Kendrell Cephus, will be staying in jail for a little while longer after he was denied bond at a hearing Friday. The Assistant District Attorney Barclay Black argued that due to Offset's past criminal history that includes drug violations, burglary and criminal street gang activity and the current charges that he faces, Cephus should be denied bond. The judge agreed and the decision was handed down. As Offset was being led out of the courtroom, the visibly upset rapper according to local reports, yelled profanities at the judge.
