    Instead of falling into another diss track battle with Troy Ave, Joey Bada$ released a brand new song entitled "Brooklyn's Own," in dedication to the late Christopher "Notorious B.I.G." Wallace on the late rapper's birthday (March 9) this week. This track, which you can listen to below, is a great reminder of Bada$'s capabilities in the hip-hop world, mixing hooks and samples that remind us all of arguably the greatest rapper of all time. It is a great homage to Biggy, and a standout track of 2016.

Now the publisher has announced a series of 50 comic book covers featuring tributes to classic hip-hop album covers. The first ten were released online this week.

    Sprite has launched a new campaign that will feature hip-hop lyrics from performers such as Drake, the Notorious B.I.G. and Nas on its cans. The campaign—which is somewhat a play off of parent company Coca-Cola's inclusion of names on the sides of its Coke and Diet Coke products—will feature a total of 16 possible quotations.
