  • Unreleased Second Drake Verse Featured in New Remix of 'Madonna' [LISTEN]

Having already gotten the co-sign from Madonna herself on the track baring her name, one of the most celebrated tracks from Drake's 'If You're Reading This It's Too Late' just got chopped and screwed by Houston DJs OG Ron C and DJ Candlestick of The Chopstars. The new version is not just a slowed down rework of "Madonna": Drake also gave OG Ron C an exclusive, unreleased second verse which was not found on the original track.
  • Banks: Neon Jungle Used 'Waiting Games' Without Permission On 'Welcome To The Jungle'

On-the-rise pop starlet Banks (aka Jillian Banks) took to Facebook yesterday to explain why her single "Waiting Game" was used as a cover on Neon Jungle's Welcome To The Jungle before it appeared on her own album. Her answer: the U.K. pop girl band used the song without her permission.

  • Vampire Weekend 'Step' remix features Danny Brown, Despot and Heems boasting about love [LISTEN]

New year, new spins on old songs. Like so many other artists (such as Lady Gaga and Rick Ross), indie rock mainstays Vampire Weekend celebrated the end of 2013 with a remix of one of its latest songs: "Step." Never a band particularly afraid of blending with hip-hop, the "wintertime remix" of "Step" features up-and-coming rappers Danny Brown, Heems and Despot.
  • REVIEW: Justin Bieber remixes Sage the Gemini's 'Gas Pedal,' and it's actually awesome [LISTEN]

It definitely seems as though Justin Bieber is trying to reshape his image as a serious, adult artist with a heavy R&B influence. For his Music Journals project, which is set to drop on Monday (Dec. 23), he collaborated with R. Kelly, Future, Lil Wayne and more. Just yesterday, the music video premiered for his collaboration single with Tyga "Wait For A Minute." Now, the old "Baby" singer has released a remix of Sage the Gemini's super chill, kind of sexy rap song "Gas Pedal."
  • Saturday Night Fever: Your remix party playlist featuring Odesza's 'My Friends Never Die Remixes'

Ladies, gentlemen...feel like dancing on a table? The Saturday Night Fever series is officially here, bringing you a party playlist each week with a different theme. (Read: different theme, they won't always be dance songs.) But this week's edition is Remix focused, so this will probably get you moving, even if you're the most self-conscious dancer ever. We're featuring Odesza's 2013 My Friends Never Die Remixes. The original EP came out this September, and now it's back with a makeover. Odesza consists of Harrison Mills (Catacombkid) and Clayton Knight (BeachesBeaches). Hear "Without You," in three different versions.
  • What’s your favorite remix? Add to the party playlist for our Saturday Night Fever series

It's Monday and we're already talking about the weekend. But not because we're bored -- this is a fun series we're starting, and it takes a little planning! This weekend we will start our Saturday Night Fever series, which is essentially your party playlist for the weekend. Every weekend we will have a different playlist theme, because all party songs are not created equal. But to start off fairly traditionally, the theme will be Remixes. This doesn't mean every song has to be a dance song, but many of them will end up making you move.
  • Pharrell, R. Kelly give Bruno Mars' new single 'Gorilla' a 'G-Mix': LISTEN to sexually-charged track now

There were never any real doubts that Bruno Mars' latest "Unorthodox Jukebox" single "Gorilla" was about raw, down and dirty sex. It's right there in the chorus -- "You and me baby, making love like Gorilla" isn't very subtle. But now, the song has reached a whole new level of naughty with a "G-Mix" done by the always saucy R. Kelly and none other than mega-producer/"Blurred Lines" collaborator Pharrell.

  • Frank Ocean Disses Chris Brown in Proposed Lyrics to 'Versace' Remix, References Rihanna Incident

Despite earlier indications via the Tumblr of Frank Ocean and statements from Chris Brown, the beef between the two R&B stars isn't over. The most recent, and obvious, indication is a series of lines dropped by Ocean in the lyrics he posted for a remix of Migos's "Versace."
