On last night's (Sept. 9) episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, legendary alternative rock band the Replacements made their first television appearance in over 25 years, performing their classic song "Alex Chilton" from their 1987 album Pleased To Meet Me. It's also the band's first time back to 30 Rockefeller Plaza after being banned from Saturday Night Live after a characteristically drunk and sloppy performance on that show back in 1986. Drake to perform and host on SNL January 18
Pulling double-duty on Saturday Night Live has become a trend for artists who can both sing and act. Following Lady Gaga, Justin Timberlake, Bruno Mars, Miley Cyrus and Justin Bieber, Drake will be the next in line to serve both SNL roles simultaneously. The announcement was made on this weekend's show that Drake will take over the January 18, 2014 episode. -

Arcade Fire Will Air 30-Minute Concert Special After SNL Premiere for New Album 'Reflektor'
Saturday Sept. 28 is officially Arcade Fire night. The Montreal band is slated as the musical guest for the season premiere of Saturday Night Live. And incase that wasn't enough, Consequence of Sound has confirmed that NBC will air a 30-minute Arcade Fire concert special on following the SNL episode, hosted by Tina Fey.
