In a recent interview with the Canadian magazine, Fashion, the 24-year old songstress claims that her girlfriends have had the strongest influence on her in the last year. She also is hell-bent on finding comfort in her own skin and not caring about how others' present themselves.

She claims to be looking at her life realistically right now and seeing that a guy just doesn't fit into the picture at this point. Being likable has nothing to do with it. The fact that Swift brings a lot of baggage (and paparazzi) with her right now is less than fair to any decent guy so she claims to not even be looking for love.

The song experienced a drop in sales over the week but not enough to stop her from passing Taylor Swift and "Shake It Off." "Bass" sold 253,000 downloads while "Shake" sold 224,000. The pair of songs have switched places twice now but if sales keep dropping this may mark the end of "Shake"s run at the top.

The photo is a regrammed screenshot of a photo Swift had posted earlier of her handwritten lyrics from the single. In the caption, Lorde gushed about having Swift as a friend and even plugged Swift's upcoming record, 1989.
