• Tomorrowland Squashes Rumors Of India Expansion in 2015

    Rumors have swirled around a potential expansion for Tomorrowland expansion to India. It seemed almost a done deal when Goa travel minister came out with comments last October that "The event organizers have approached us and have shown interest to host the event in mid[dle] of January." However, this was not to be the case. Shortly thereafter, Debby Wilsmen, the chief press officer for ID&T festival was quoted in a Belgian paper Het Laaste Nieuws via DNA India saying "This brief note is to respect and salute the Indian Tomorrowland fans and media, and to clarify that absolutely no decision has been made as to whether the next expansion of Tomorrowland will take place in India or in any other country in the world."

    Tomorrowland is known for its otherworldly production and stage designs. They have made unforgettable pieces of cinema with their 30+ minute clips over the past few years and share some brand new music from their residents, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike. Now GoPro, the innovative and wildly popular camera company has decided to try and one up Tomorrowland's official effort with an aftermovie of their own. They gave several 4k cameras to two girls and documented their journey in Belgium to the festival and their wild ride once they arrived hanging out with DJs like Steve Aoki, Krewella and Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike.

    Belgian EDM festival Tomorrowland has shared the official Aftermovie of this year's event, which took place in Boom, Belgium on July 18, 19, and 20, and again on July 25, 26, and 27. The Aftermovie is an annual recap film that documents some of the award-winning festival's highlights. Some headliners at this year's Tomorrowland festival included Steve Aoki, Skrillex, Diplo, Tiësto, and David Guetta (who had a mild existential crisis on stage, which was of course gloriously captured on video).

    At Belgium's Tomorrowland Festival this past weekend, French EDM superstar David Guetta took some time out of his set to confront the existential horror of mindlessly twisting knobs for thousands of people as countless atrocities are being committed against innocent civilians at the very same moment. Or, you know, maybe he just got really high before he went on stage. Either way, there's footage of Guetta looking pretty bummed out during his set, which isn't really something we've come to expect from anyone willfully attending an EDM festival, even the DJs.

    Tomorrowland may be moving to Brazil for 2015. Tomorrowland is looking to continue its international expansion. According to Billboard, Brazilian media outlets are reporting that festival organizers have signed on to host a Sao Paolo installment in May of 2015.
