Noah Kahan went home without bitterness and any hard feelings from the recent 2024 Grammy Awards, knowing that this year's Best New Artist, Victoria Monet, is on her way to becoming one of the biggest artists in the years to come.

"It was the privilege of a lifetime to be there, to be a part of it," the "Stick Season" singer said about attending the Grammys.

"To feel deserving of something so great was a real challenge, but with all of your support and the support of my team, and my loved ones, I feel like I did grow in confidence and finally feel proud of myself."

Despite losing to Monet, kahan chooses to look at the positive side of his attendance and his nomination.

"If you know me, you know I am very competitive and so of course it hurts to lose out on an award, or to feel like I've failed in some way. The truth is though, that this was not a failure. It has been a celebration."

On top of that, he was simply glad to be there alongside his mother, who served as his date on the red carpet and his biggest fan.

"My mom's been telling me since I was 13, but I didn't believe her until I heard it," he continued.

Noah Kahan Gives Victoria Monet Special Shout-Out

Elsewhere in his interview, Kahan was gracious enough to directly address Monet and her recent win.

"I am so proud of and excited for Victoria Monét deserved winning, and you could tell how much it meant to her," he said. "That is all you can hope for for somebody else; to watch them live out their dreams if only to be reminded that dreams do come true, and that magic exists."

Aside from giving Monet a shout-out, the "She Calls Me BacK" singer also congratulated his fellow nominees, Gracie Abrams, Ice Spice, Jelly Roll, Coco Jones, The War and Treaty, and Fred Again.

"To Victoria and my other fellow nominees, you are MAGIC. Every single one of you was deserving, and you handle your lives and careers with such grace."
